Jon Warren

LEAD PASTOR

Jon and his wife Meggan have three children, Jake, Heath, and Audrey. He grew up in Lamesa, Texas, near Lubbock, working in the family business raising cotton and grain. He met Meggan in the third grade, and they were married in 1987. After giving his life to Christ at the age of 17, Jon attended Texas A&M University in College Station. He holds a Master’s Degree in Theology from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. Jon has served as GracePoint’s lead pastor since the church’s inception.

Hunter Simmons

ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Hunter and his wife Kendall have three children, Beau, Noah, & Scout. Hunter grew up in Portland and studied ranch management at Texas A&M. While working as a ranch manager in Llano, he received his call to ministry. He has served in a variety of ministerial positions, including student pastor at Hill Country Fellowship in Burnet. Hunter has a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Hunter Cargill

STUDENT PASTOR

Hunter and his wife Lauren have a son, Judah. Hunter grew up in West Texas, serving as a teacher and leader in student ministries at churches in Lubbock. He trained in missions at Launch Global, where he completed an internship in Thailand. Before coming to GracePoint, he served as Young Life area director in Portland. Hunter is pursuing a Master of Divinity at Fuller Seminary.

Glo and her husband, Barry, have been married for more than fifty years. They have two daughters, Brooke and Blaire. Glo grew up in Sherman, Texas, and graduated from Austin College. She has served at GracePoint since the church’s inception.

Becky has two married daughters and three granddaughters who are the joy of her heart! She was raised in California, but has made Portland home since 2001. She has been a part of GracePoint since 2016.

Blaire Taggart

Blaire and her husband, Nathan, have two children, Lauren and Luke. Blaire grew up in the Dallas area and graduated from Baylor University. She has worked as an elementary music teacher and alongside Nathan in the beginning stages of Taggart Motor Company. She has served at GracePoint since its inception.

Shannon has two adult children, Ryan and Randy. Shannon grew up in Corpus Christi but lived most of her adult life in Portland. She works as an accountant/bookkeeper for several area companies.

Sharon Llanas

PRESCHOOL COORDINATOR

Sharon and her husband Tony have 2 daughters, Acacia and Anna, and 2 grandchildren. She and her husband are both originally from Maine and her husband's naval career brought them to Ingleside. She has been involved with children's ministry for 30 years, having served in many different roles and positions. Sharon and her family have attended GracePoint since 2013.

Linda has one son, Jeremy. He and his wife, Lisa, have three children and reside in Round Rock. Linda graduated from Liberty University. She worked as an intervention specialist for the juvenile probation department and has served in ministry for over 40 years. She returned to her hometown of Ingleside in 2015 to care for her mom after serving in ministry across the United States and Mexico.

Judy is a mother of two teenagers, Marissa & Ryan. Judy was born in Taft but has lived in Portland for most of her life. She has been a retail store supervisor, a database manager, and an office manager. She attends GracePoint along with her sister, Cindy, who introduced her to the church.

Randy and his wife Shelly have three children, Joshua, Daniel, and David. Randy grew up on the Brazos River in Rosenberg, Texas, and attended Baylor University. He served in the Navy for 27 years. Randy and Shelly have been attending GracePoint since 2008.

Mitch McElroy

MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR

Mitch and his wife Shelly have six children, Ryan, Chase, Krista, Erika, Meagan, and Jacey. Mitch grew up in Meadow, Texas, near Lubbock. After graduating high school, he served six years in the Marine Corps before taking a job as an electrician. Later, Mitch worked for the City of Brownfield for 27 years. He moved to Portland in 2018.

Andy Garrett

is married to wife Tonya. They have three children, Taryn, Cody, and Jace. He was born in Corpus Christi and attended high school in Ingleside. He is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University and a lifelong construction man. His interests include family time, travel, hunting, and golf.

Dustin Smith

is husband to Tammy. They have three children, Kinzley, Conner and Jackson. He grew up in the Ingleside/Rockport area. He and his family have been attending Grace Point since 2010. Dustin works at Flint Hills Resources, and enjoys hunting, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Nathan Taggart

is husband to Blaire, and father of two children, Lauren and Luke. He grew up in Rockport, graduated from GPHS, and attended Baylor University. After college, he returned to Portland where he is now a local business owner. He has served at GracePoint since its inception. His interests include ranching, bird hunting and fishing. He also loves traveling with his family.
